The rather strange “squeezing in” squat you see performed, mostly by women, where the individual or individuals squat down in front of a crowd during a photograph as of they feel theyre not fitting into the picture. It is believed by the person being photographed that the photographer has no ability to tell them whether or not they’re in the photo so they assume they have to squat in an effort to “squeeze in” making themselves look pretty stupid.
This pose can ruin photos pretty quickly when there are multiple people performing it. It even degrades further when only one side of the photo showcases the pose while the other side seems to have brains and know how to trust in the photographer.

This is often used as a way to give the impression that the individual is just as hot as they were a few years ago, or to try and pretend they are on vacation in an exotic/desirable locale like they were a few years back, even though they are in fact not on vacation.
