moo point

A moo point or a mooed point is just a lingual bastardization of a moot point:
It was originally Joey Tribbiani (Friends) who used the phrase, it was a joke, a twist on “moot point.”

A moot point basically doesn’t matter: it’s not worth discussing because it just doesn’t apply for whatever reason.

In legal jargon, it means your argument is inapropo: it doesn’t apply & it’s not timely, so it’s actually NOT an argument because it’s inapplicable - not necessarily completely illogical; but for some reason, it doesn’t apply to the case. Sometimes the statute of limitations has run & that law no longer applies, so the point is moot, dead.

Origin (1500’s): a moot point needed group discussion and debate.

Modern use: a moot point is only up for debate in hypothetical cases, as in law school/intellectual debate.(See moot court.)

However, in our modern legal system, a moot point is considered:
-inapplicable (for whatever reason,) irrelevant
-automatically an unacceptable argument

-definitely not up for debate in the courtroom: considered a waste of the court’s time & resources

-embarrassing if relied upon, as the atty didn’t do their homework

NOT to be confused with a moot point:

“Mute” means silent. A moot point is not discussed: it’s already understood & automatically accepted legally, so it doesn’t need to be addressed. It’s a given.
Your argument is irrelevant, it’s a moo point: If a cow mooed it would mean the same thing, absolutely nothing.

Point Breeze

A neighborhood in South Philadelphia. Generally, the boundaries are from Washington Av on the North, 17-18th streets on the East, and Mifflin on the southern edge. Some consider it down to Snyder Ave on the southern end. It was historically Irish/Italian, but became majority black by the 60s, and was an extremely rough, dangerous place from the 70s on. The last decade or so has seen gentrification and new construction, which has improved the area. It still has another decade or so before one would consider Point Breeze a safe neighborhood. Point Breeze is a tough hood, but the residents are proud to be from there and everyone has grit and heart.
They just built some more condos in Point Breeze, I heard that area is “up and coming”.
Sure, rents are cheaper than the surrounding neighborhoods, but you pay the price of safety instead. Two of my roommates have been robbed walking home.

Good point

The opposite would beeeee.... Bad... What is the opposite of point? Nub? Like a pointed end and a nub end? Thesaurus says "whole" "personality" and "lot" for antonyms.... None of those seem right.
Iam "Good point about the compartmentalization though... That actually makes a lot of sense... Hmm... I can see how that might apply to me...."

Hym "I hate everyone.... And everything.... Why can some scientist mess with forces they don't understand and unleash some horror on the world. Like giant bugs. Shadow monsters..."

Iam "Sentient plants?"

Hym "Yes! Giant sentient sunflowers that drink blood and paralyze people with power."

Iam "Heh that's also a good idea I guess..."

point-and-drool interface

n. Parody of the techspeak term point-and-click interface, describing a windows, icons, and mouse-based interface. The implication, of course, is that such an interface is only suitable for idiots. Also point-and-grunt interface.
The OS Windows 11 relies heavily on a point-and-drool interface

Riverside Point rp

Nottingham Uni's best, most wonderful accommodation EVER. The girls have the most amazing, endearing and humble personalities along side beauty that astonishes the masses. Unfortunately the range in boys is less wonderful, whilst funny, entertaining and athletic, beauty isn't one of their many attributes.
Don't be fooled, no barbeques lay upon the wonderful outdoor spaces. However a makeshift gym in the woeful lockdown times provided fun and entertainment to all.

Some occupants s enjoy water fights, fireworks (be careful of the pigs) and hiding protein.
But if you live at RP there's one other place you must hold dear to your heart, Monica Partridge, the BEST library to ever dawn Nottinghams fields.
person one "bro have you heard of that accommodation where all the girls are 10s and they have so much fun?"
person two "omg yer isn't it called riverside point rp?"
person one "that's the one"
