Get the Ben-Herman-Momentmug. A scottish rock band which their sound is really hard to explain. I see it as a mishmash of jazz, ska, punk and noise rock. Listening to experimental bands like Dog Faced Hermans, Sonic Youth, Swans, Boris and Daughters have changed the way I look at guitar. There's definitely alot of types of chord progressions that even the most skilled guitarists don't even know about.
