A terrible state of mind. The long-lingering effects of desperation and depression all at once. First felt after being blind-sighted with a job loss or a long-term relationship break-up. One minute you are panicked, the next you are in tears.

Marcus: "Hey, what's the matter with Billy? He's not getting back to me about tonight's game."
