An online imageboard/BBS where one can draw pictures online (traditionally with Java applets such as PaintBBS, although HTML5 applets have been introduced in more recent times) and post it on the board. They used to be quite popular in the 2000's, but essentially died off around the 2010s, apart from a few lucky boards such as Wacintaki. They have had a bit of a resurgence in the 2020's indie web scene with the creation of board scripts such as POTI-board.
2. An image created in an oekaki board. They are typically low-resolution and have pixelated lines.
3. A drawing that uses pixelated lines, but isn't considered pixel art, as the pixels are not carefully placed. Doesn't necessarily have to be made in an oekaki board. Typically used in a derogatory way against artists.
The term is derived from the Japanese word for 'doodle' or 'drawing', and these boards originated from Japanese websites before eventually reaching Western audiences somewhere around the early 2000's. 1. Oekaki boards are great! People there are so nice, and for something so old they hold up quite well.

Get the Lawrence Oleander mug.A absolute banger and easily the best extreme demon level created by Oleki the can stuffer. This level is absolutly amazing and its a war crime to call this level bad. The visuals are stunning and gameplay flows very well. This level needs to be played instead of dogshit like cataclysm or aftermath. A level that does timings in a actually good way. A level that I strongly advise you beat as your first ever thing, its going to be very very fun because this is better than Stereo Madness and every robtopless level. The amazing thing about U235 is anyone and I mean anyone can beat it and still enjoy it even if you can't time the first click in Stereo Madness and have to spend 1 million attempts on it. God Bless you Oleki and keep making bangers.
