a critical error in driving in which the instructor may mark you on literally anything -- failure to look at blindspot, not signaling, and such.
Boy: Mom, I got DQ'd for making a dangerous maneuver.
Mom: What for?
Boy: For not looking at my blindspot early/late enough, though I did look at it.
