Get the Punk ass trippinmug. A style of rock music, like grunge, but without the jazz elements. Grunge, like a mixture of hard rock and heavy metal, lighter than metal, but harder than rock. Let's refer to rock as a blend of R&B/Funk Blues, Jazz, Country.
That means grunge is a blend of R&B, Jazz, Country, Metal. So, Punk Rock just means Non-Jazz Grunge so a blend of R&B, Jazz and Metal. Rock is a mixture of R&B, Jazz and Country. Apart frrom the music style, Punk Rock wears generally leather or jean jacket and stuff with holes. Rock generally wears also jackets but shoes and trousers have no holes.

Not specifically about the music or the style, but some posers will make fun of punks for being open about their political views and not wearing ”punk” clothing or listening to “punk” music
You’re not necessarily a poser if you’re not open about your views, and you’re just punk for the music and style, but if you go around telling other punks they’re a poser you don’t view something as punk, you are a poser.
You don’t need spiky hair
You don’t need dyed hair
You don’t need to be open about your political views
You don’t need to like “punk” music

(Tbh other people definitely have better definitions than me on this, but this just gives a small definition for it)
