My favorite personal verb to explain to someone "You tried" but in a more reflective way, i'd only use this verb in an arguement it's pretty useless

"And that's why you're ugly"
"At least my beauty is on the inside, but you swiped!"

To give a small amount of the profits earned to a person that helped initiate the transaction. A type of commission or finder's fee

A finders fee, commission of sorts. My boy got me a great deal on a watch but I already had one like it so I resold it and made a killing. Don't worry, I told my boy "I'll slip you a willy" and I did so everyone's happy.
