A Guy a woman is dating, may even be a side dude, who she sees no future or long term goals with. However, she still does some of the things as if in a relationship without the domesticated parts e.g. sleeps with, hang out, and shopping trips to name a few .

The act of first motor boating a large breasted woman, then before finishing, throwing up while still motor boating (aka the coat)
Hey Brian, go over to carly and motor boat her, then throw up every where in her boobs, you know the old "motor coat"

Spirit-coating is similar in usage to the more common term, "Sugar-coating", used to talk about or describe (something) in a way that makes it seem more pleasant or acceptable than what it actually is.
"Spirit-coating" is a phenomenon abundantly common amongst people who have a tendency to resort to "spiritual" and metaphysical frameworks in order to find comfort and/or create meaning and coherence in their human experience.
"Spirit-coating" refers to the tendency to coat *Life-as-it-is* with extra layers of spiritual ideology, pattern-seeking and interpretation, often drawing from standard New Age concepts such as non-duality, the imminent evolution and/or ascension of consciousness, or flimsy constructions of an eternal and everlasting "soul".
"Spirit-coating" can be innocuous and harmless, but it can also be a gateway for pretty harmful spiritual gaslighting.

1. “Man, I had a really mind-blowing, toe-curling mushroom trip the other day, but this facilitator person kept trying to spirit-coat my experience EVEN THOUGH I TOLD THEM that my experience was perfectly meaningful to me for what it was and their spirit-coating was just unhelpful"
2. “Man, all of these “sacred sexuality” and "tantra" cults people are so funny. It seems so much easier (and healthier) to just acknowledge their basic human drives and admit that they want to have relatively decent sex with a bunch of different people, and try and deprogram themselves from the shitty puritan ethics that they still carry with them so they won't feel guilty about fucking around. No need to spirit-coat it, really!"
3. "Man, Adam is such a judgmental little bitch. He could definitely spirit-coat his cynicism just a tiny bit."

Get the cheap coat mug.
In primarily black neighborhoods in San Francisco, CA in the late 80's and early 90's, d-boys and gang bangers from different SF turfs (i.e. Fillmoe, Lakeview, Sunnydale, Hunter's Point) made custom Starter jackets with the name of their hood or their knicknames and or random slogans stitched on the back, front and sleeves. These jackets made it clear about your neighborhood affiliation. After the Cheap Charlie massacre in 1989 when niggas from Hunter's Point sprayed up some niggas from Sunnydale, it sparked inter and intra-turf wars across the city and turf jackets started popping up everywhere. Sunnydale would wear San Diego Padres jackets and hats because the of the interlocking "SD" logo standing for Sunnydale. Lakeview would wear UNLV hats and jackets because UNLV was an acronym for "United Niggas of Lakeview" or "Underground Niggas Livin' Violently". Other times, SF Giants and Niners hats were used but with different slogans and hood names stitched into the back and sleeves of mostly Satin Starter baseball jackets. Other random satin Starter team jackets were used as well. During the early 90's, the local TV news media spotlighted the turf coat trend that was a large part of the local gang warfare in San Francisco inner city neighborhoods.
"That was back when we wore turf coats and turf hats with your name on the back" ~ Legendary undergound Laview, SF rapper, Cellski circa 1994
"In turf coats, Levi's, with brims on, the game is thick, and the paper is long, telling you everything a young nigga miss bout home..."
~ Fillmoe, SF rapper Messy Marv circa 1998
