A person who decides to shell off current technology, and live in the past. They do things like replacing DV cameras with super8 cameras,tossing out overly "advanced" video games, replacing them with atari 2600's, as well as tossing out CDs, and replacing them with good 'ole records. They aslo change they're clothing wearing 80's trends, and doing things like growing mullets.

retrofiction

A term connotating the tenet that all science fiction especially fiction in the farthest of futures (science fantasy (ultramodernism)) is actually retrofuturism.

The delineation that all fiction assumes a linear past (determinism).

Retrofiction argues that fiction structurally assumes a linear past or causality itself.

That is to say, fiction is structured collinear to determinism.

The term 'retrofiction' implies that fiction has attributes of a self-chimera or is self-chimerous. That is to say fiction is self-fiction or self-false.

Ie. All representation has a self-attribute: meta-value.

That meta-value is false.

(WHRET-row-wish) n. the condition which can arrise if you fail to forward a chain email

Sue: "OMG. The instructions at the end of that stupid chain email said that I had to forward it to 10 people in the next 10 minutes or my wish would be cancelled."

Sue: "Uh, eight, I think. Now what?"

To go back and fix something. Especially when you know you're doing it wrong at the time and you are going to need to go back to fix it later.

I coded this web page quickly knowing that I would have to retrofix it later.

Retrovision is most often experienced in the wake of a “YOLO” decision.

Retroist

A person who rejects things of the modern world, and adapts to aspects of the past, whether they be from ten years to hundreds of years prior to the present day. Aspects of retroism include but not limited to; design, fashion, technology, everyday efforts/tasks, ways of speaking, and ideology.

As a retroist, rather than using smartphones, I use landlines.
