Similar to attention whore, but used in facebook. Defines a person who tries to get attention or approval by posting useless status updates on facebook.

Facequaintance

Someone who you have 'friended' on Facebook but don't really know or keep in touch with. You generally don't know anyone who ever comments on their Wall and wouldn't know them even if they walked right up to you and slapped you.

"Yea, I'm friends with her but we've only met, like, once. She's just a Facequaintance."

The act of not immediately confirming Facebook friend requests, thereby portraying oneself as having more important things to do than online social networking. Not unlike the three day rule for calling a potential mate after acquiring his/her telephone number.

Guy 1: "Dude, who's that hottie sitting in your pending request file? You should accept that ASAP."

Guy 2: "No doubt she's bangin', but I want her to sweat a little. I'll facewait it for another day or two."
