Disarming

The point of being disarming is to disarm someone who is usually armed.
She was disarming to the musician by telling the musician he/she played better than she actually did, in case the musician wanted to hit her with a saxophone, a flute, a drumstick, or a guitar. She wanted to be thorough in making sure her opponent's hands were free of musical instruments of any kind. No piano wires, no guitar strings either, since they cut through human skin and flesh like butter.

Disarm

Dis-what? I can't. I literally can't fo anything until I'm sitting across the table from somebody. And if you try you might "end the conflict" immediately and permanently.
Hym "I mean, if not stealing from me is a deal breaker for you then you and your kids can fucking cook for all I care. And I can't disarm it because if I can disarm it you can violate the leverage clause and the bodily harm clause."

Disarmed

Having your arm ripped off by an alligator's mouth in the floodwaters of a hurricane, such as Ida.
Man's wife- I didn't kill my husband. It wasn't me, it was the one armed, I mean it was the alligator, whatever. I have an airtight alibi to back that up. I tried to tell that idiot not to go in the high water, but he doesn't pay me any attention, and that's what he gets. Disarmed and dismembered at the same time.
