chile is pronounced like child without the d. it’s sometimes used when someone does something questionable sort of like “wtf” nicki minaj popularized it when someone commented on her big boobs on instagram live. she said “um chile... anyways” and people have started using it as a meme, however, it’s been around and used in the black community for years

Chifletas

Humorous pseudo-Spanish for flip-flops. It is referring to the even more silly sounding real Spanish word 'Chancletas' meaning the same.

Often used by gringos (like me) and an accompanying bad Spanish accent really helps the delivery, often sounding like 'chiflayders'.

"Put you chifletas on before you go to the beach"
"My those are lovely chifletas"
"Baby they are not 'Chifletas' they are 'Chancletas' you crazy one"
