During the 1960s, the Baby Boomers made up the core of the Counterculture, opposed to the Vietnam War and the Establishment. They are the parents of Generation X (born from 1961-1981) and Generation Y (born from 1982-2003).
The Baby Boomers protested the Establishment extensively in the 1960s which is ironic since today, most of the Boomers make up the Establishment.

Baby Boomers created a consumerist Western Society after WWII by inventing machines that made house work easier (washers and dryers, etc) and was supposed to help alleviate the burden of life but only drove people to work more in order to earn more and therefore be richer. Today, the Pappy Boomers are worried that not enough youths are part of the workforce to ensure the retirement funds.
My uncle Mort was born in 1951, he was part of the baby boomers generation. Now, he'd like to retire but aunt Raymonda won't let him. She needs dough for boob lift. They're just a couple of Pappy Boomers!
