Social Network User

There are two different types of social network users.

1. Someone who has too much spare time with no life to do anything with it, so they'll spend it posting useless and annoying updates that nobody cares about, interacting with their "friends" (most of which aren't even their friends outside of whichever social networking site they're using), taking "selfies", all the while losing brain cells.

2. Someone who spends a few minutes here and there interacting with their friends on a social networking site (these are friends that they are actually friends with outside of the social network they're using), someone who will post occasional but interesting/funny status updates, and then logging off and doing something productive with their time.
Examples of definition 1: At least 60% of social network users.

Examples of definition 2: The other 40% or less of social network users.

social network hub

An individual that is so important to a social network that they consistantly check landline voice mail, text message and send email to their social network at the same time!
Bobby: I went to see Nadine about some work, but she was very busy. She appeared to be talking on the phone and texting at the same time!
Mike: She is the social network hub of her apartment complex so you may be able to catch her tomorrow with work issues!

Social Network Flexer

When a person parades on social networks as if they're rich and living an extravagant life, when in reality they dont have a car, home, and/or job. They present a mythical life to exude they lifestyle they want, instead of the life they have, which in turn makes them a Social Network Flexer.
Jessica always posts pictures of red bottoms (which cost over $500.00), but she doesn't have a car. She is such a Social Network Flexer!

Person 1: How can that girl have 486 friends on Facebook? I've never seen her talk to anyone!

Social Network Hot

The occurrence of someone being more attractive on their Facebook profile (or profile of any social networking site) than they are in real life. This is a reference to the fact that the actors in the 2010 film "The Social Network" were deceivingly more attractive than the people they were portraying, i.e. Armie Hammer vs. The Winklevoss Twins.
1: How'd your date go last night?

2: Not to well. I was really excited until I found out he was just Social Network Hot, then I was just depressed.

1: What?

2: Remember when you saw Armie Hammer play the Winklevi?

1: Yeah...

2: And how hot, smart, and tall you though he was. And how much you liked him...

1: Oh yeah!

2: Then remember how you felt when you googled the actual Winklevi and saw what they really looked/sounded like?

1: Yeah, that ish was tragic.

2: That's how I felt last night.

The Social Network

A recent(2010) movie about the creation of social network site, Facebook. It stars a bunch of ringlet-headed, self-conscious, snappy, socially-awkward characters, such as Mark Zuckerburg and Sean Parker and focuses around the constant situations of both being jerks, being pansies, and pissing each other off on multiple occasions.
Pat:"Did you see The Social Network this weekend?"
Tre:" Nah, man. Justin Timberlake and some freaky white-ass kid in a bathrobe having orgies in a doom room? No thanks."
