Resident
A non-Sureno gang member that runs with the South Siders in the California or Federal prison systems. A Resident Homey may have associated with Sureno gang members or ran solo on the streets.
"I've seen Residents running the block....I'm on the B Yard in the gym. And there was a cat from Maravilla that had the keys right there. Now Maravilla -- they're not Surenos. So how would somebody who technically was considered a Resident, for lack of a better term, would be running the Homies car?"

A non-Sureno gang member that runs with the South Siders in the California or Federal prison systems. A Resident may have ran solo or associated with Sureno gang members on the streets. Nonetheless, being a Resident does not preclude a homey from becoming a llavero.

Resident
A non-Sureño gang member that functions with the Southern Mexicans in the California or Federal prison systems. Although they are not street gang members, Residents can become llaveros in prison.
