After work detention

Similar to a detention in the fact that you are kept behind after finishing time,its a way for large multi national companies to hold employee's behind for working too quickly/hard and finishing early , usually involves some kind of team building excercise or pointless tidying up and painting .

Employee 1 " awesome were doing really well today i'll easily make it home in time to watch the game tonight"

Employee 2 " I doubt it! the boss has just given us an After work detention "

Lunch Detention

When you do something bad that doesn't warrant a detention. Instead, you have to face the wall of the cafeteria and starve while everyone else is eating. In my opinion, it's only going to make you want to get into more trouble.

Lunch detentions are the stupidest shit ever invented.

Detention

A special room in high school, where you go if you do something very severe,

1. Insubordination

2. Get caught cheating

3. Bad-mouthing a teacher

4. Get caught leaving the school grounds before school is over

5. Fighting with a fellow student or faculty.

The student who was in violation has to collect all their assignments from their assigned teachers, and they are not allowed to go to the cafeteria for their lunch break, lunch is to be eaten in the detention room.

I was put in detention for giving my study hall teacher the one finger-salute for being a smart-ass. That was the only time I was put in detention
