horse doovers

Guess how many time I mispronounced "Hors d'oeuvres" before I realized what it was.. smh I am not cultured. I literally called it horse doovers, and had no idea what it was until just now.

Hoover Doover Manoeuvre

An outlandish physical, or verbal feat, which leaves the observer in a state of amazement. Some might say "Houdiniesque"
Historically used after someone has rolled a perfect joint under particularly difficult circumstances (eg. while riding on a roller coaster or skydiving).
"Thats a real beauty! How did you pull off that hoover doover manoeuvre"

Otherwise typically used when watching sport;
"Wow, he stepped one way, then the other! Before you knew it he'd hoover doovered himself across the try line"

doover

Shortened form of "dooverlackie". A whatchamacallit. You know, a thingmabob. It's like a doohickey but not quite. Commonly used in Australia.
"Can you pass us that doover? Y'know, that thingo over there. Yeah that's it. Cheers mate."
