Schools rapidly adapted to support learning at home and many educators were forced to become familiar with a great deal of software that many had not used before. On the reopening of schools in
the UK in September 2020, there was a substantial demand from teachers to continue using some of the tools and skills they had acquired to support their pupils' learning. Some were very excited to continue experimenting with different apps & learning platforms, sharing ideas and supporting each other to get to grips with novel software.
Some described themselves as being 'digixcited', to express how 'digitally excited' they were, or indeed, how excited they were to be discovering new ways to digitally evolve their pedagogy.
