Console Peasant

A person who thinks consoles are superior and are trying to compare its hardware and graphics of a PC. They're commonly are ignorant and refuse to accept any valid points from the opposite side. They also lack hardware knowledge and assume there console is the best in price,exclusives, and hardware.

Console Peasant 1: XBOX IS BETTER THEY HAVE BETTER GRAPHICS GAMES AND GAMES ARE FOR XBOX!

Console Peasant 2: PS4 HAS 1 TERAFLOPS OF GDDR7 RAM WHICH MAKES THAT GRAPHICS AT 4K AND 120 FPS!!!

Somebody who plays PC: Neither of you are correct here (link to a hardware forum or pricing from various platforms)

Console Peasants: STFU FAG! YAH 40 YEAR OLD VIRGINS I F*** UR MOM! GO PLAY ON YOUR $5000 PC'S AND UPGRADE EVERY SINGLE GAME! GAMEPLAY OVER GRAPHICS

console wars

The stupidiest war that has ever been fought... Ever. It's usually filled with stupid graphic whoring fanboys and nerds who always have to point out every detail of a console thinking that the more power it has the better it is. (Newsflash: Just cause it has more power doesn't mean it's instantly better. For example the SNES didn't need fancy graphics just to create awesome games.).

With the release of the Nintendo DS and PSP the stupidity has taken to a next level, man I should write an article called "Nintendo geeks versus Sony freaks"

(Oh yeah and freak is used as an insult, I can't believe people title themselves as 'freaks', I'll just point and laugh at them.)

console wars

The seemingly neverending battle over which gaming console is supreme among all the others.

In the past, the console wars were between Nintendo and Sega, but nowadays, the three main competitors are Sony with the Playstation 2, Nintendo with the Gamecube, and Microsoft with the XBox.

It's really not that big an issue, but since some people love to argue over inane topics, the console wars rage on.

"Man, did you hear? Sony's releasing the PS3!"

"Just another contender in the console wars.

Console Peasant

A console elitist,who will blindly buy every console that's made either by Sony or Microsoft(most common examples).A console peasant will support Sony or Microsoft even when they're clearly making bad decisions,and will not listen to any negative comment towards their console,often saying things that don't make sense or are false.Also just because you own a console doesn't make you a console peasant,as long as you acknowledge that consoles are weaker than the PC.

PC gamer: Consoles are weaker compered to their PC counterparts
Console Peasant: NO! CONSOLES ARE BETTER IN EVERY SINGLE WAY!PC GAMING IS DEAD ,BUT YOU PC GAMERS HAVEN'T REALIZED IT YET! XBOX IS THE FUTURE....(you get the point)

The Last Great Console

The SNES, maybe the most beloved console of all time. Despite it's rival produced by Sega (Which was also a legendary console), the SNES was boosted above legendary status by classic games such as FF3, Chrono Trigger, the Donkey Kong Trilogy, F-Zero, the Mario titles it carried, and of course, The Legend of Zelda-Link's Awakening.

While it was a hot item in it's time, it has now been spread around the internet for free in the form of emulators, and the games have been converted into roms. This adds to the legacy the SNES left behind of being the most playable and memory-laden projects undertaken by a gaming company.

Despite all the other legendary consoles (And those that are to come in the future), the SNES will always have it's own place in the world of gaming.

console-itis

Describes a videogame ported to PC from a console system, or co-developed for both console and PC, that is percieved to suffer from the alleged shortcomings of console gaming.

Symptoms of console-itis include save points, low texture/graphical detail, poor or no mouse support, lack of gameplay depth, and limited configuration options.

Presumably, with consoles becoming more and more like PCs, console-itis will become less and less of an issue in the days and years to come in the future of the age of tomorrow.

There are too many examples to list. Just think of almost any console game ported to PC that you've played, and there's your example.
