Their songwriting team consists of a UCLA life science professor, and the president of Epitaph Records who tend to use a heightened and advanced vocabulary when coming up with their poignant socio-political and pseudo-philosophical lyrics. Their lineup also consists of some of punk rock's finest musicians including Greg Hetson of Circle Jerks fame, Brian Baker of Minor Threat/Dag Nasty fame and Brooks Wackerman from Suicidal Tendencies. They have been around for approximately twenty eight years.

Get the bad religion mug.One of the best punk bands still around today. Definatly 1 of my favourite political punk bands, both musicaly and in terms of lyrical truth and thoughtfulness. Normaly each song has a powerful moral/politcal message.
E.g When all soliders lay their weapons down, or when all kings and all queens relinquish their crowns, or when the only true messiah rescues us from ourselves, then it's easy to imagine there will be sorrow no more.
