Dead game

In dog fighting terminology, the dog that keeps trying to win the match while he or she is dying. Also a dog that almost dies fighting and shows eagerness to end the fight, having lots of possibilities to die still fighting. Sad way to keep a breed existing for its gameness.

This dog died fighting against his brother in the pit. He lost and died but he got the title of dead game because he kept trying until he lost his life.
