GREEN TEAM

A volunteer office committee dedicated to reducing the environmental impact of a company's employees. Green teams implement programs to purchase reusable dishes (vs disposable), coordinate e-waste recycling programs, organize creek clean-ups, advocate the "bottle pledge", etc. Green teams are often funded by small overhead budgets which fund lunches for committee members, the purchase of dishes, etc.

Hey, did you hear that the Green Team bought reusable dishes so that our office lunches don't fill up a small landfill every week!?

Annoying GD hater: Oh, I hate Green Day! They're just another emo pop boy-band. Their target audience are a bunch of 14-year-old teenyboppers saying, "ZOMG BILLIE JOE IS SO SMEXY!!!11!1" Have you heard their new song? Don't wanna be an American idiot blah blah...

True GD fan: Wow, get over it. I suppose you think it's a bad album because it 'sold-out'? It's a ROCK OPERA. (ever heard of Quadrophenia by The Who?) Sure, I prefer their older albums better, but still... I guess you just hate American Idiot because it's mainstream. That's ridiculous.
