When you're hot from exercise so you pull on your shirt or clothing to fan yourself.

Something better left alone where one thing leads to another resulting in disaster, like the thread of a sweater that when pulled unravels the whole garment.
That whole relationship was a sweater thread.
Don't go there. That is one sweater thread you do not want to pick at.

A dead end in a comments thread. Can apply to any sort of forum where comments are left by users. This can be initiated by an uninvited comment in a thread (thereby disrupting already existing conversation), or a dwindling conversation that neither party knows how to end politely.
Jackie and I were commenting on an old photo of us on Facebook, until Josh interjected with his comment. He led us to a thread end.

A Japanese RPG (aka anime RPG) for Playstation released at the height of the Playstation RPG fandom in mid-1999. Simply unique due to it is perfect for beginner RPGs gamers with a not fully developed cerebral cortex. Actually, it is ideal for old gamers to come back and try to build up their former glory. I understand that one of the reasons it is cutesy is that "Princess Mint" doubles as a comic relief character. The game is known to be cutesy which may alienate most mainstream gamers.

5th grader: What is the easiest RPG for Playstation?
6th grader: Umm, Threads of Fate. It's cutesy though.
5th grader: What's wrong with it?
6th grader: I can't stand comic relief. The characters make me insane.

A heaping pile of clothes on a bed, chair, or most likely on the floor. The clothes may be a mix of folded and unfolded or completely unfolded and potentially inside-out. Stacks of folded clothes do not constitute a thread nest.
Mom: Check that thread nest for the keys again, would you?
Me: Yeah sure, but I didn't even touch those clothes today.
Dad: Hey I found the keys in my pocket.
