A blogging social network site for those who want to express their opinions and be entirely themselves. Many fandoms are found on tumblr such as Harry Potter, Starkid and Glee. It's a place where people are't judged. Those with a tumblr also know not to talk about tumblr to those who don't have a tumblr. It's not a 'fashion trend' it's a place for people to be original and themselves with their followers who they don't necessarily know in real life but find some common ground with.

Facebook person: So I heard that Darren Criss guy is coming back to Glee for season 3?

Tumblr person: Yeah I found that out a while ago.

Facebook person: But I only saw it on one of my friends' statuses today. How did you know?

Tumblr person: Can't remember. Google or something. *in head - tumblr tells me EVERYTHING*

Tumblr is a community of emo teenagers who circlejerk on first-world problems while calling themselves cats. It has slowly become more and more inbred, to the point that the huge community in it believes to be the best community on the entire web, while the rest of the internet looks at it with fear and disgust.
