Innocent

Never having done anything wrong in your life. Only animals are innocent in the true sense of the word. Innocent is used too often to describe people who are wrongly accused, jailed, or imprisoned, when the reality is innocent is a word that only applies to the animal kingdom. Not guilty of the charge a person is jailed or imprisoned for applies to the matter of someone getting jailed or imprisoned for something they did not do, not guilty of a charge is not the same as never having done anything wrong in your life. Someone who's been in jail or prison for something they didnt do is still human, and therefore has done some form of wrongdoing in their life, even if it's not what they were charged with or detained/imprisoned for.
No human is innocent in the way that an animal is, that doesn't mean every human is guilty of every charge they've been jailed or imprisoned for, there is such a thing as not being guilty of a charge, without being innocent of any and all wrongdoing in a person's life, though the justice system doesn't seem to allow for much gray area on the matter. Innocent is used too often to replace not guilty, when really there are differences. Not guilty is simply not guilty of what you're charged with. Not being guilty of a murder charge and being imprisoned for it anyway doesn't mean you didnt steal candy a few times before you turned 10, it just means you're not guilty of what you're charged with. The difference between that and innocence is an innocent being has never stolen candy or done anything wrong, which is why innocent only applies to animals.
