One of the most innacurate myths in U.S. history. In reality, if a credit card is stolen, the business where the criminal spent the funds at, will be hurt, not the card holder. If someone steals your card, and you tell the card company, they will take the money away from the business, not the customer. In turn, the business will lose money, go our of business, or be hurt permanently. However, most people still believe that THEY are the victim.

I don't recognize this $10 charge on my card, it must be identity theft, like they said on TV. I better call mastercard, so they can put the money back on my card. Wow, I'm so traumatized.

Common misspelling of "identification".

Legal term used by law enforcement in identifying a criminal.

Indentification parade is a procedure adopted by the police for identifying the criminal. The person who is suspected by the police is placed with a group of similarly looking people and the eye witness to the crime is asked to identify the person s/he saw at the crime scene.

secret identity

when ur a super hero, or an evil villain and u must pretend u are part of the real world for some odd reason.. i dunno maybe so we as people can relate to part of the story line. and it's exciting to watch them almost get figured out.

i personally don't understand the reason for secret identities besides making a story exciting. in reality if this person was a super hero, why would he/she have to pretend for a while he/she was a regular person?
