Mushroom hair is an awful hairstyle popular in the mid 1970's to 1984. It spawned from Vidal Sasoon hairstyles in the 1960's. Many government employees enjoyed this hairstyle. Older black women still sport this style today.

Joe thought the term "haircut" in his CPA exam bet meant to only cut one strand of hair.

Joe should have done his homework before entering into the contract as he was mistaking "haircut" for a "hair trim". A haircut is a completely different style or cutting off several inches. See haircut.
