to snap means to delete, wipe out, to decimate.

Comes from Marvel when Thanos snapped with his infinity gauntlet, causing half of the universe to disappear. Becomes really popular when it gets on the big screen in Avengers: Infinity War.

There was way too many people on the server so he snapped half of the people to lessen the lag.
