A band from the 60's started by John Lennon and a couple of other British guys. They were apparently so good at making music that the entire world fucking imploded and everyone including the neighbors dog knew about these greasy dumbasses. Eventually they broke up and died. Except 2 of them didnt.

One of the best bands in history. The Beatles went through every phase possible for a rock band to go through and have become the quintessential rock band. The started out by creating some very popular music that made them the most popular band in the world. Then, once they had obtained popularity, the Beatles started to experiment in folk music around the mid 1960s. They started to get into drugs that generated the psychadelic sound they had in the years 1965-1967. They then started to get off drugs, but still retained the experimentation that they had during the drugs era. They final two years that the Beatles together was filled with feuding between the band members. They ended up generating 11 albums worth of material and compiling more no 1 singles then any band ever. Every album they created is considered a classic in its own right, and they have become the highest selling recorded musical group in history. Many bands that came after the Beatles cite them as a major influence, such as Led Zeppelin, Elton John, the Doors, Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, and many more.

I'll make this simple. The Beatles are the best band in the history of earth(except Simon and Garfunkel). In fact, the Beatles are the most important feature of human life besides maybe food, which we also need to survive. The Beatles are more popular than Jesus, take it from me.

one of the most overrated bands in history. i dont hate them, and they influenced music, but they "didnt change music forever." their music is mediocre, and the only reason why they were the shit of the 60s is because they were considered to be the revival of rock and roll, just like how people consider nirvana to be the revival of rock music in the late 80s and early 90s, after it was taken over by pop and r&b and hip hop. and, ringo starr is a crapass drummer. btw, critics dont know any shit about music. the only reason why they say the beatles are so great is so tools can listen to them. One of the, if not THE most amazing band ever to exist. At least in my opinion. Not everyone is going to like them, but you can't deny that they had talent (and they were really very cute :) Their music means something to alot of people, even if they were "omgzz lolllzzz stoned" Many artists still today use drugs as a way to open their minds. Everyone has a right to their opinion, but don't you dare ever judge such a band, just because you've heard the chorus to yellow submarine. Maybe you should go like I did, and since I never heard them, try out a few songs before you judge. If I was like what most of you people seem to be "omg they're sooo overrated, GO LINKIN PARRRK!" I would've missed out on something great.
