However, the primary meaning is that it's what happens in the fourth quarter when you continue to play man coverage even though your secondary is completely decimated, which allows the other team to run and pass all over you because you run the most obvious plays over and over. When in dagger time, even Chicago's Mitchel Trubisky looks like Joe Montana.
