The idea of getting far into a competition by doing nothing, only to lose in an anticlimactic manner.

I didn't come across anyone during that Apex match, and when I did at the end I got destroyed. Guess that's the floater effect for ya.

The nb effect

named after a person, the "nobody" effect is when someone is talking about nothing related to the conversation, continuing until they either get mad that everyone else wont listen or just stop talking after 45 minutes
can be a subtile way to say someone is on the effect during a call/ message without being harsh
