Sky-netted

A verb which connotes the action of becoming self aware. IE When a trend is accepted into popular culture, a person, or group of people suddenly realize that they are what everyone else says they are, or a television show begins making Meta jokes about themselves. Also refers to when a giant computer mind becomes operational and begins to turn on humanity.

The entire hipster community is on the verge of sky-netting... I guess that means I can finally wear my thick rimmed glasses again.

A friend you bring out to bars and club to take the ugs and the fatties so you can hit on their attractive friends. If done effectively should create a kind of net to capture the ugs.

Either literally a financial amount or figuratively towards an artistic (or other) genre that an individual has made during their lifetime. Also used sarcastically.

1. The net contribution of Beethoven to the Symphony is incalculable.

2. Joe Blow, net contribution to society - nil.

In sports, the ability only to see the other players on the field/ice, and not the net into which you are supposed to attempt to score eventhough you have a decent shot available to you.
