NUtrons

A FIRST Robotics team out of Boston Massachusetts. They're known for building quality robots but also known for being mentor built. The team allows college students to continue to build robots and take all the credit while the real students sit around and do nothing.

Hey did you see the NUtrons' robot this year?? It's really good but it's unfortunate that the students didn't do any of it!

A big debate in neuroscience is whether single-neuron encoding or distributed encoding is most relevant for understanding how the brain functions.

In research recently published in Frontiers in Neuroscience, Bryan Daniels, Jessica Flack, and David Krakauer of the Santa Fe Institute's collective computation group (C4) tackle this problem using data recorded from the neurons of a macaque monkey tasked by the experimenter with making a simple decision.
