Canter step (break)

When the landing or break of a jump occurs as a canter, before it transitions into any other gait.

Any time you land a jump with both arms, and then both legs, it's considered a canter step (break).

Canter step (forestep)

When the take off or lift of a jump occurs as a canter, transitioning out of whatever gait was there before the jump.

A starting jump is technically considered a canter step (forestep).

De-cantered

Decantered. The part of a coffee pot that collects liquid. Also acts and emotion that one can feel. A mix between all emotions. Often used in past tense.

Gia: "Are you feeling De-Cantered today Daddy?"
Anna: "Yes son."
