This group is often mistaken for a bunch of snobby, rich, jerks. Wherein reality, they are actually very considerate, middle classed, and overall great people. Preps are often at he top of their classes due to their high intellect. They are the most sociable group out of all the high school groups... including nerds, goths, punks, geeks, etc. Being sociable, they tend to have a large group of friends.

Nerd: Hey! Look how cool that prep is!
Emo: He should die a horrible death...
Nerd: Why? What did he ever do?
Emo: Shut up, loser! You don't understand me! Nobody does!
Prep: Don't mind her... it'll be okay. You want to go see a movie?
Nerd: Sure!

ok well me && my friends are considered "preppy" at our school, and guess what?? yes most of us wear abercrombie // hollister, but we`re not RiCH .. we`re AVERAGE . most of us don`t even own too much of louis vuitton or coach . sure we LiKE to dress like that, but it`s just our own style.

Preps are fun, awesome people, who live life large. This is often because they have the money to do what they like. They prefer labels, such as: Polo Ralph Lauren, Armani Jean, Lilly Pulitzer, Lacoste, Hugo Boss, and many others. As you can tell, they come from 'well off' families. They tend to be jocks/cheerleaders and attend 'prepatory schools'.

Fellow preppy: Look at that Abercrombie babe! Isn't she totally hot!

one who appears clean-cut or strive to seem slightly better off financially than others. preps would most likely wear American Eagle,Abercrombie and Fitch,Hollister, OldNavy and polos sometimes with the collar up. they listen to what ever the newest shit u see on trl/bullshit they play on the radio(some of it is good).preps usally watch the OC, one tree hill, american idol,Laguna Beach,the hills,E! . not all preps go to a prep school or broading school. Most preps think they are are the coolest people. they r always doing the lastest trends. preps mostly think whatever they do is the coolest thing ever

prep 1: do u want to come over?
prep 2: what r we going to do?
prep 1: watch the OC.
