A word used by females to describe male traits or actions that they unreasonably do not like, making them dislike that male. Icks are usually random things like treading water and putting on a seatbelt.

The ick

A phenomenon overwhelmingly experienced by women where they are suddenly turned off. More often than not it is used by women who believe life is a romantic movie where they are the prize that deserves (and will find) an absolutely perfect person for them who they do not have to compromise with whatsoever as real relationships are built upon. In these cases it is usually some very small thing they dislike causing them to end the relationship.

Can also be used in cases of major incompatibilities by people who aren't delusional, but not as frequent. Most people do not use this phrase to describe their incompatibilities unless given good reason, as using this phrase in general is a bit gross and has been further ruined by some of the formerly mentioned people.

"I stopped seeing that guy because I found out he likes slightly different music than me, it gave me the ick."
