Peer pressure

Trying to get somebody to do something based on what everyone else is doing, thinks is safe, or thinks someone should do.

Most people wear masks, and some think that peer pressure, or even something worse than peer pressure (like deaths) is going to change the way somebody else does things, especially if peer pressure convinced them to put on a mask.

What happens when the teacher is too lazy to check your submissions, so instead your classmates have to do it for you. Usually done during English classes, especially during drafts.

Arrogant, Annoying, Over-condescending English Teacher: Everyone, once you are finished with your first drafts, give them to a buddy for peer evaluation!

Student: Why don't you do it yourself?

A near reversal to the term: "Volunpeered".
