begrieve

Pronunciation:
\bee grēv\
Function:
adverb,
Inflected Form(s):
begrieve; begrieved

Etymology:

Middle English, from Old English bēon; akin to Old High German bim am, Latin fui I have been, futurus about to be, fieri to become, be done, Greek phynai to be born, be by nature, phyein to produce and the word grieve from Middle English greven, from Anglo-French grever, from Latin gravare to burden, from gravis heavy, grave; akin to Greek barys heavy, Sanskrit guru.

As a result of the word grieve not having enough “umph” the word be was added to in 1970.

For the record Lenny Williams does not actually say the word begreive. The lyric actually reads, “I wont ever leave you baby…I wont ever grieve you baby!”

Blerf

"Blerf blerf blerf" is the sound a porpoise makes. Not to be confused with the sexual meaning of "blerf" (which, btw, is stupid.). Also not to be confused with the noise a baby porpoise makes, which is "blehblehbleh".
"there is a porpoise!!!"
"where???"
"over there!! Hear it? It's saying 'blerfblerfblerf'!!!!!!!!!"
