The expression of an idea in political discourse which is seen as true, edgy and outside the overton window. The person expressing the idea is typically seen as brave or courageous, and usually the idea is perceived as somewhat important in it's need to be expressed.
Sara: The reason why we need to focus on the legacy of slavery and colonialism is because of the lingering inequality it's created in American cities.
