A language leech is a person who only wants to be your friend, or pretends to be your friend, because they want to learn English from you. People who teach English in non-English speaking countries can't help but meet language leeches.
This guy invited me to hang out and then he took me to a coffeeshop and pulled out his IELTS preparation book like that was normal. What a language leech!

When in another country the act of tipping a service industry personnel enough to get them to speak your language.
I had use tip-language on that bartender and give him 20 dollars to get him to talk to me in english.
