The advocacy and valid belief that women deserve equal rights in the world, and that their rights should not be defined through their sex.
“Fighting for feminism is fighting for equality for all women, wether they are of color, or poor, or rich, or young or old.” As human beings, we all deserve rights equal to each other.

simply put, the notion that men and women are equal. feminism does not call for hating men, in fact, it abhors it. it is a call for human equality, regardless of race, age, and especially gender.
"I myself have never been able to find out precisely what feminism is: I only know that people call me a feminist whenever I express sentiments that differentiate me from a door mat or a prostitute." ~Rebecca West

Movement that promotes the equality of not only man and women, but also the rights of every human independently of race, age, nationality, sexuality, religion.
Often confused by the empowerment of women and oppression of man.
Most people don't believe that feminism supports equality, seeing that the base of the movement's name is "female", feminism was created firstly to support the oppressed gender at the moment which were females but as years passed by, feminism started to support other oppressed groups such as homosexuals, transgendered, Muslim, Jews, etc..
Feminism also fights against gender roles, stereotypes, beauty standards and other problems commonly found in today's society.
Feminism means, in fact, equality.
