The amount of time devoted to watching the news is comparable to time devoted to watching an entire series of a sitcom at the same time. While watching the news feels more justified based on the idea that you are fulfilling your civic duty, it is in fact questionable whether one needs to continuously keep track of the election coverage to that degree.
