Spirit Bound

A form of subtle cosplay. When the street clothing you choose to wear is in the same vein of a beloved character. The goal is to capture the spirit or essence of the character with common ready to wear fashion. This can include color scheme, pattern, texture or identifying accessories. Only a true fan will identify your passion for a beloved character. This is used in instances when one does not feel comfortable in costume, where full cosplay is not socially acceptable or where there are restrictions on costume wearing; such as Disney. It is similar to Disney Bound and Disney Bounding but is opened to all Media Genre; including, movies, games, and anime.

Today I am spirit bound to Yoshi. I’m wearing orange sneakers, white pants and shirt, green jacket and a red hat.

A BOUND NAME is a nickname of sorts issued to a person referencing certain characteristics or identifiers about them; the person is then identified by the “bound name” especially by certain groups. This is often done with a negative connotation as a means to belittle or even bully someone.

I don't know his name, we just call him Shaggy; that's his bound name because he looks like Shaggy from Scooby Doo.

Being women bound occurs when one of the boys is in a relationship and is dedicated to being with his gf. It often causes the women bound victim to prioritize his time with his gf and make silly choices like violating bro code, being a half sender and just overall being a lame. Severe cases tend to be caused by the female wearing the pants in the relationship.

Upward Bound

A college-prep program offered in high schools. Time consuming, but they do get to go visit colleges pretty often. Generally used to make everyone else feel like shit because they aren't in it. Where there is one UBer (person in UB) there will be at least 3 more in the immediate vicinity. Generally, UBer's act like they are better than everyone else because they get to go to L.A. for a week here, SF for a week there, and because they are upheld as the best thing on the f'ing earth. Ironic because for all they do to prepare for college in that class, the number one in the graduating class isn't in UB.

UBer 1: OMG you remember when we went to LA and that random hobo came up to us and blahblahblah?

UBer 2: Yeah, OMG that was so funny. Haha, look at that loser-we're in Upward Bound, so we're so awesome!
