No Movie October

It’s when you don’t watch movies in October as a cleanse. A common tradition with younger folks. Since you spend nine months watching movies you take a break on October to prevent burnout. It’s in October instead of December because you don’t want to strip yourself of Christmas movies.
“Wanna watch a movie?”
“I would but I can’t, it’s no movie October.”
“Oh right! I forgot you participated in that.”

Movie Trailer

A short sequence of scenes cranked up into a small film that depict what the movie you'll be watching could have been if it were to be good. Often the trailers for upcoming movies appear a lot better than the movie itself.
John: "Hey did you see that new movie trailer for *insert upcoming movie*?"
Martin: "Yeah I did, looked great. If only the movie was as good as its trailer says it's gonna be.."

2004 garfield movie

A funny movie featuring a funny obese orange cat who hates Monday’s who’s owner is Jon Arbuckle. Jon Arbuckle also makes some pretty good lasagna because Garfield eats that shit up. It is also the best movie of 2004.
“Yo, have you seen that one movie from 2004? I forget the name but it’s counted at the funniest in history.”
“Oh yeah! Of course I do. It’s the 2004 Garfield movie you dope.”

Pre-Holiday Movie

These are the movies that are released from the middle of October to about the middle of November, just before the holiday movie season. They may have some elements of being a holiday movie (slim but potential Oscar nomination, somewhat epic, drama, romantic comedy) but are usually not the major draw that the holiday blockbusters are. These are frequently horror movies to capitalize on Halloween.
The pre-holiday movies serve Hollywood by advertising the holiday blockbusters.
