Get the Texas T-Shirtmug. Part of the reason charges dont stick to cops. Cops also lie all the time in court, they know how to do it, and they're good at it. They're also good at outsmarting a district attorney that really doesn't want to successfully prosecute a cop, since nobody wants to be the one (crazy enough) who does. District attorneys want to successfully prosecute people they know they have a good chance of making a charge stick around for a while. Interestingly enough, trying to prosecute cops lowers their conviction rate, so you'd think they'd try to do a better job at it.
The cop was wearing a teflon shirt in the courtroom like many before him. Many had tried to make a charge stick and ended up wasting everybody's time in doing so.
