don't change the subject

To tell someone not to say things off-topic to throw someone off. Mainly told when someone is caught doing something bad.
"How are you suddenly walking fine after you recently just got a leg injury?"
"Isn't the sky so nice today?"
"Don't change the subject! How are you walking?"

Tidal Change

/ˈtīd(ə)l CHānj/ (n.)

A Tidal Change is a feeling that something bad is about to happen, it's the feeling that change is coming, and it's not a good change. It's the feeling that things are over as we know it. (IE - a feeling of a change in the tide.)
A: "I feel so sick, B!"
B: "Why, A?"
A: "I feel as though a Tidal Change is coming!"
B: "You'll be okay, it's just because of you moving out."

(lyrics from the song "wind of change" by The Scorpions) :

a phrase meaning: to be clever enough to (correctly) detect and/or predict patterns of future social change in one's society, and adapt to said patterns before most other people around you.
not to brag, but in most cases, I am good at listening to the winds of change.
