University of Windsor

Located in Windsor, Ontario, Canada the University of Windsor is the southernmost university in all of Canada. (however, like pretty much all Canadian universities it still gets it's share of snow during the winter.)

The U of W is known for having one of the more internationally diverse student bodies in all of Canada, but the majority of it's students are still from the Windsor-Essex County and Chatam area (over 80% of students who go on to university from these areas will attend the U of W).

Historically, it hasn't scored well in Maclean's Magazine's annual University Rankings, but then again Maclean's Magazine is basically the Fox News of the North. In reality, the university offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate degrees, including a well renown engineering program which has placed in the top 3 in each of the past three years in a competition against other engineering programs in Ontario.

Richard Peddie president and CEO of Maple Leafs sports and entertainment, graduated from the U of W with a degree in business and is still a proud supporter of the school and has be known to offer internships to Windsor MBA students.

Finally some of the benefits U of W students enjoy are a lively downtown district located close to the campus (5 minute bus ride), 3 pro sports teams located in downtown Detroit (Red Wings, Tigers and Lions) and the newly renovated and state of the art St. Dennis Center facility which played host to the 2008 Canadian Olympic Trials and is home to Lancer's Football, Basketball, Soccer, Volleyball and the CIS champion track and Field team.
Person1: So I heard you were thinking about the University of Windsor
Person2: Yeah, I am. But what about their rating in Maclean's?
Person1: Dude, it's Maclean's!
Person2: Good point...

University of Wisconsin Parkside

A lesser known campus in the UW public school system, the University of Wisconsin Parkside was founded back in 1968. It's one of the newest UW schools, and because of that it is greatly under appreciated by the majority of the state. Unlike schools such as UW-Madison or UW-Milwaukee, UW-Parkside hasn't had a chance to establish it's reputation as a quality and worth-while school to attend, so many people use it as a fall back option. However, Parkside is a fantastic school with a diverse campus.
Greg's parent's weren't thrilled when the only school he was accepted to was University of Wisconsin Parkside, but four years and a bachelors degree later, they realized he had been in good hands.

Southern Oregon University

Located in Ashland, Oregon. Thought of as a liberal arts school, the faculty provide a well rounded education. Sports teams use the name Raiders with a logo of a red tailed hawk.

DeVry University

\ De*Vry Uni*ver*si*ty \ ( Duh-vri Yoo-nuh-vur-si-tee )
- noun
1. An unflattering and even pejorative term for a franchise of schools allegedly responsible for providing tertiary education to students, who are traditionally failed college applicants that consider themselves too intelligent for community college.
2. The world's most awesome oxymoron.
1. "Man, I totally blew off my SAT's and got shafted into DeVry University, but don't tell anyone!"
2. Shannon spent the day brainstorming insulting oxymorons: Rap Music, Military Intelligence, Athletic Scholarship, Modern Art ... but none could top DeVry University!

university of north dakota

University of North Dakota, formally known as UND, and also known for the Fighting Sioux Hockey team, and the flight school. Has sub-par education with a good label on it. Most students could possibly be corn-fed and inbred minnekotans (minnesota/northdaka residents) who drink heavily during all seasons especially during the relentless winter. Girls are known to be very easy due to their former lifestyles on the farm performing beastiality with the animals. The remaining 15% of students are asian aviation students who enjoy anime and talking jibberish, while avoiding showers and keeping their toxic smell. Fraternities are a big part of student life, a big cover up of luring drunk girls to the bedroom, this activity is especially encouraged throughout the student body, along with sharing of STD's between groups of friends via choice females. Studying is almost not known at UND, due to functioning alcoholism among students of all ages, also due to daily parties and hockey games. There is a large known rivalry between UND and the farming community of incest formally known as North dakota state University in Fargo.
University of North Dakota has such sick parties the professors like hearing about them and remembering their glory days.

did you hear about that girl date raped at university of north dakota?

Queen's University

Queen's is an internationally known Canadian university situated near the downtown of the city of Kingston. With beautiful architecture consistent throughout the entirety of the university's buildings, and renowned undergraduate and graduate faculties, it is an attractive university choice for many successful students. Queen's also has one of the highest entrance averages throughout all of Canada. In addition, the university boasts a graduate rate well above the nation wide average. Considered a Canadian Ivy league school Queen's has many assumed rivals, yet the students see few other universities worthy of rivalry and outdo all other universities in terms of academics and a variety of sports. Queen's graduates are often hardworking individuals and highly intelligent. These students have the opportunity to partake in a variety of traditions throughout the school year which are unique to the university.
Queen's University students aren't even allowed to wear their leather jackets until they finish their last exam! I wish we had leather jackets and cool traditions at our school
