Get the stick it in neutralmug. True Neutral is a DnD alignment where it's, well, neutral on the moral axis (good-evil) and the ethical axis (law/order-chaos). Characters that fall into this alignment tend to be pragmatic, for example:
A man follows the law to not get caught but commits a few minor felonies (like jaywalking or loitering) if it gets him somewhere. A bit later, the man gives away some of his lunch to a person in poverty because he was full and feels sorry for this person but he will use violence against others as a means to protect himself.
