also, doing this intentionally for bets can prove to be a quite fun game. it's like getting yourself into a fucky situation for money.

Not so subtle code for "That girl is extremely good looking". Must be used within plain conversation volume and within earshot of the intended target. Inspired by the girls of MMMF.

(verb) to wrong-foot someone means to manipulate the situation to make an innocent person look bad, guilty. or inept. Often used by sly people to deflect the blame they deserve onto someone else, or to win a promotion at work, or to steal someone else's mate by making their rival look less desireable.
"Charlie was scamming hundreds of dollars on his expense account -- but when I pointed this out to the boss, Charlie wrong-footed me and somehow I got the blame! Unbelieveable!"
OR
Denise knew the end of her relationship with Joe was coming when Charlene wrong-footed her, telling a party story that made it look like Denise got drunk when she hadn't...which just happens to be one of Joe's freakout points.

The bad version of built different. Instead of being on another level on the high scale (good), being built wrong makes you on another level, just backward (bad). Someone can be built wrong in many ways. Examples are and are not limited to unparalleled stupidity, ultimate cluelessness, horrible luck, or just wrong place wrong time. Unfortunately, most people who are built wrong are shamed and ridiculed because of their built wrongness, despite most of the time, it's not their fault (wrong place wrong time).
